Our Commitment
Nanhe Kissey is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures Taken
- Semantic HTML elements with appropriate ARIA attributes throughout the application
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Meaningful alt text on images, including story illustrations and user-uploaded content
- Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
- Focus indicators on all interactive elements for keyboard users
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- Form labels and error messages associated with their respective inputs
- Reduced motion support via
prefers-reduced-motion media query
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, the following areas are under active improvement:
- Story Reader: The interactive story reader component is being enhanced for screen reader compatibility. Full text content is accessible, but some visual controls may have limited screen reader support.
- RTL Languages: Right-to-left language layout support (Arabic, Urdu, Hebrew) is planned but not yet implemented.
- AI-Generated Images: Alt text for AI-generated story illustrations is auto-generated from scene descriptions and may not capture all visual details.
