How does the daily AI Story subscription work?
Our daily subscription delivers a fresh, personalized bedtime story to your account every day. You can choose to receive stories that focus on specific values you want to teach, or let us rotate through important life lessons. Each story is personalized with your child's name and preferences, making the learning experience more impactful. You can access today's story and your entire library through our website or app, making bedtime reading convenient whether you're at home or traveling.
What values and lessons do your stories teach?

How are the stories personalized for my child?
Our AI-powered system creates stories that feature your child as the main character, incorporating their name, age, and interests. You can also specify values you'd like to focus on, favorite activities, and even friends or pets to include. Can I download or print the AI Stories?
Yes! All subscription plans include the ability to download stories as PDFs that you can print at home. For special favorites, we also offer professional printing services where you can order a beautifully bound physical book of any story in your library. Many parents create collections of their child's favorite stories or order printed copies as gifts for grandparents.
How do I know which values my child needs to learn?
Our app includes a parent dashboard with a 'Values Guide' that explains age-appropriate values and when children are developmentally ready to understand different concepts. We also offer a simple assessment that helps identify values that might be most beneficial for your child right now. Many parents also choose values based on current challenges their child is facing, like sharing with a new sibling or managing big emotions.
How long are the AI Stories?
Our stories are carefully crafted to be the perfect length for reading - typically 5-7 minutes for younger children (ages 2-5) and 7-10 minutes for older children (ages 6-10). This is based on child development research about attention spans and what makes for an effective reading experience. Each story has a clear beginning, middle, and end with a gentle wind-down that helps prepare children for sleep.
Can I preview a story before subscribing?
Absolutely! We offer one free personalized story so you can experience the quality and impact of our AI Stories before subscribing. Simply create an account, enter your child's details, and select a value you'd like the story to focus on. You'll receive a complete personalized story with illustrations that you can read with your child to see how they respond.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
You can easily manage your subscription through your account settings. There are no long-term commitments, and you can cancel at any time with just a few clicks. If you cancel, you'll maintain access to all stories in your library until the end of your current billing period. You can also upgrade, downgrade, or pause your subscription as needed. We're flexible because we understand that family needs change.
Are the stories appropriate for all ages?
Our stories are designed for children ages 2-10, with content tailored to be age-appropriate. When you set up your account, you'll specify your child's age so we can provide stories with appropriate vocabulary, themes, and complexity. For families with multiple children of different ages, we can create versions of the same story adjusted for each child's developmental level, making bedtime reading work for everyone.

How is my personal information protected?
We take data privacy very seriously, especially when it comes to children's information. All personal data is encrypted and stored securely. We never share your information with third parties without your explicit consent, and we never use children's data for marketing purposes. What is COPPA and how does Nanhe Kissey comply?
COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) is a US law that protects children under 13 online. We comply by: (1) Requiring parental consent during signup - only parents/guardians 18+ can create accounts, (2) Collecting minimal child data - only first name, age, and optional preferences needed for story personalization, (3) Never using children's data for marketing or advertising, (4) Giving parents full control to review, delete, or modify their child's information anytime, (5) Using secure, encrypted storage for all data. Parents can exercise their rights by emailing privacy@nanhekissey.com.
What are my rights under GDPR (European users)?
If you're in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, GDPR gives you these rights: Right of Access (get a copy of your data), Right to Rectification (correct inaccurate data), Right to Erasure ('right to be forgotten'), Right to Restrict Processing, Right to Data Portability (download your data), Right to Object, and Right to Withdraw Consent. What are my rights under India DPDP Act 2023?
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have: Right to Access (obtain summary of your data), Right to Correction (fix inaccurate data), Right to Erasure (request deletion), Right to Grievance Redressal (lodge complaints), and Right to Nominate (designate someone to exercise rights on your behalf). How can I download all my data?
You can download all your personal data anytime from your Profile page. Go to My Profile → Data & Privacy section → click 'Download Data'. This exports a JSON file containing: your account information, profile details, children profiles, all stories created, order history, credits, and cookie consent history. This fulfills your 'Right to Data Portability' under GDPR and similar privacy laws. The download is instant and includes all data we have about you.
How do I delete my account and all data?
To delete your account: Go to My Profile → Data & Privacy section → click 'Delete Account'. You'll need to type 'DELETE' to confirm. This will permanently remove: your profile, all children profiles, all stories, order history, and credits (non-refundable). The deletion is processed within 30 days as per our data retention policy. Some data (like payment records) may be retained for 7 years for legal/tax compliance. You can also email privacy@nanhekissey.com with subject 'Account Deletion Request'.
How do cookies work on your website?

Why do you ask for parental consent during signup?
We require parental consent because: (1) Our service creates personalized stories for children, (2) COPPA requires verifiable parental consent before collecting any child data, (3) We want to ensure parents are aware of and control their child's information. During signup, you must confirm you are 18+ and a parent/legal guardian. This protects children's privacy and gives parents full visibility and control over how their child's information is used in story creation.
