Tomás wanted to loosen soil around the garden seedlings. He saw a blue hand trowel on the shared shelf and reached for it. Noor held up a hand. “Has anyone said you may borrow it?” Tomás stopped. Lina pointed to the grown-up guide nearby. The trowel looked ready to help, but asking had to come first.
